Q: Will this bulb work on my 6V scooter?
A: No – this version is DC 12V only. We do offer a separate 6V BA20D LED for older Vespa and classic mopeds. Just ask our sales team.
Q: Does it have high and low beam?
A: Yes. The BA20D base has two contacts. Our bulb is designed with dual‑beam function – one COB chip for low beam, a second chip for high beam. Works exactly like your original halogen.
Q: My stock headlight housing is small – will this 76mm length fit?
A: Most BA20D housings are deep enough for 76mm. But if your housing is extremely shallow, measure first. Over 90% of scooters and mopeds accept this length without issue.
Q: Do I need an LED relay or resistor for turn signals?
A: No – this is for the headlight only, not turn signals. The headlight circuit does not cause hyper‑flash. Just plug it in.
Q: Is it really brighter than a 35W halogen?
A: Yes. A fresh 35W halogen BA20D makes about 500‑600 lumens (after 100 hours it drops to ~400). Our LED makes 800 solid lumens from day one and stays there for years. Your customers will see the road much better at night.
Q: Does it work with both AC and DC headlight circuits?
A: This specific model is designed for DC 12V systems (most modern scooters and motorcycles). If your bike runs AC headlights (some older models), you may need our AC/DC version – contact us for advice.
Q: What about heat?
A: LED runs much cooler than halogen. We include a small aluminum heatsink and a quiet fan (the fan version shown in our spec sheet) to keep the bulb cool even in closed housings. No melted wires.
